Week 10

No letter today. Had to ride a super long bus trip today.
Next week….  Spoke to Jaden on the phone.  Still a little home sick and working hard to understand the language.  Good to see his face and smile and hear his voice.  He’s doing hard things and can still smile.  Grateful he is learning and improving everyday while serving the Lord.

Week 9

 Thursday

Zone conference was super good. When people with an English accent talk I understand mucho but the accents of the natives are very difficult. Not much to talk about because Zone conference was all day but it was fun to see other missionaries especially the ones I was in the mtc with. Also it turns out other missionaries have way worse stomach problems than me. Also because we were in Ventanas we got some Avena Polaca. Sooo good. We has to wait around for Elder and Hermana Morales so they could inspect our house and make sure we clean and take care of it. Theyre super cool and funny. They are both converts to the church and he met her and then baptized her. They both have awesome testimonies of christ that they share at conferences. Later we went to Mauricio who's uncle is a member. He came to church and felt good and said it was beautiful and says he's a little interested. So we are going to start teaching him and baptize him.
Friday
We went out to San Juan to teach the three ladies. We have a member who can take them to church this sunday which will be super good. Alexander canceled his appointment which was too bad because we had a really good lesson with him and his family last time. Had a good lesson with Antonio. He says he will pray about the book of Mormon and if Joseph was a prophet and if this is the restored gospel of Jesus christ. Which is too bad. All he has to do is pray but he won't. I think he knows it's true but doesn't want it to be so he doesn't have to change. He said he will pray but he always says that.
Saturday
Long day. District council in Ventanas. We visited Anderson who was in the hospital because he has denge. Hes this 18 year old we've been talking to. I thought it was cool that we were some of the first people he contacted even tho we've only talked to him a few times and asked us to come visit him. Lunch at the Ochoas was not great. Just some weird shrimp soup and some chewey meat with some rice. I don't even know. I just have to lie to everyone that asked if I like the food here. "Si claroooooo". Went out to Potosi to talk with the Ruiz family and almost missed the bus. We found out El famoso and his girlfriend are getting married which means she can finally get baptized (she couldn't get baptized because they are living together already even tho they aren’t married). They're super cool and we are excited for them. We got some super good pizza from these guys from Columbia and if was cool because I could tell they had different accents.
Sunday
We had a lot of people at church today a lot were inactives and a few not members so that felt good. I think this will be a super good month. Mauricio is interested and is coming to church, Nayeli is getting married so she can get baptized, Antonio is asking more questions. We found a few people and a good family that's interested. I get picked up by a super drunk guy wearing a wig and he called us his amigos and he picked me up and shook me and I think he spit a little food in my face. The whole street was watching and it was super funny/embarrassing. It was a super busy but good day. I need to start writing my feelings and stuff more not just facts about my days. Sorry about that.
Monday
I tried to speak a lot of Spanish today and I just sounded stupid and messed up a lot. But I'm starting to not care or think and I'm just doing it so that's good.
Tuesday
Super long day. Lots of bus rides so that was super nice. We shared the scripture about keeping the sabbath day holy and the blessings from it we promised Antonio that if he gave up work on su day he would receive enough money through out the week. I've never felt the spirit so strongly.

Homecoming

 HE'S HOME!!!
